Lucerna
Lucerna a disco con becco corto e arrotondato. La tipologia di lucerna a disco con becco corto e arrotondato (Dressel 17-20, Loeschcke VIII, Deneauve VII), estremamente diffusa nel mondo romano e prodotta già dall’età augustea, segnano la più ampia attestazione tra la seconda metà del I e il II sec. d.C. Gli elementi strutturali distintivi, variamente mutuati dai tipi a volute e semivolute, sono il corpo di forma circolare, a parete più o meno convessa; la spalla ampia, piatta negli esemplari più antichi, poi saliente, liscia o decorata ad ovoli o a motivi fitomorfi impressi, il disco grand e concavo, spesso ornato; il becco, piccolo e rotondo, che s’imposta direttamente; l’ansa solcata e perforata ottenuta dalla matrice, in seguito piena.

It was widely widespread in the Roman empire and produced since the Augustan age. Their circulation is dated back to the period between the 1st and the 2nd century AD. The shape with circle form, with variations of spiral and semi spiral ones, and with less concave sides than the others makes these pieces pretty recognizable; it has a wide upper part, flat in the oldest types, smooth or decorated with ovals of plant-like stamped models, large and concave disk, most of the time decorated. The lip was tiny and round, directly fixable, and the handle was pierced and made from the mould.
